Lily Pads - Original Oil Painting

This painting was inspired by a photo I took while canoeing in Northern Wisconsin. It was a calm summer day and the water was placid. I bent over the side of the canoe and used my inexpensive camera to capture this gorgeous view of lily pads. I never intended to get photo references for a painting that day, but when I saw the photo, I could see a unique painting coming to life...all the gorgeous colors and reflections were so inspiring! The original was painted in oils on a 24”x 36” canvas and is in a private collection.
